ChatGPT is changing the world today

January 27, 2023

The recently launched natural language processing tool, ChatGPT, has garnered a lot of positive responses from its users. Unveiled by OpenAI in November 2022, ChatGPT logged one million users in its first five days of release. This language-processing AI was trained to generate human-like text, reports, essays, emails, etc. across different fields of knowledge when asked to. All you need to do is ask your question and have ChatGPT produce a well-written answer curated from an accurate source with minimal mistakes.

One of its rare features is that it can generate complex computer programming code, reject inappropriate prompts, admit its own mistakes, and challenge a question or an incorrect premise.

Efficiently trained with large amounts of text data estimated to be around 570 GB, ChatGPT can recognize patterns and produce unique text tailored towards that pattern in a more proper writing style. It has undeniably outperformed the majority of the chatbots that people interact with these days, which can only answer rudimentary questions. ChatGPT can learn new things and explain a concept in ways that people can understand at a recommended pace.

The cutting-edge chatbot has attracted big tech companies' interest, with Microsoft proposing to invest $10 billion in OpenAI after the initial $1 billion investment. Though the world applauds the great features of ChatGPT, OpenAI still warns its users to fast-check the information produced by it and be mindful of biased content or harmful information. They plan to continue refining it to get it to the point where people can interact and get an accurate response.
